walking through a snowy forest dreamily. But we were in for a surprise.
The girl, Géraldine Fasnacht, was pretty for sure, but her inner
strength and passion is what this video is all about. She is a
world-renowned wingsuit flyer. The pursuit of excellence and the desire
to go further, leads this real-life superwoman.
Man has always been fascinated with the concept of flying.
Even with the advent of aircraft and widespread air travel, man has
still not been able to shake off the fantasy of spreading wings like
birds and flying off. Wingsuit flying almost brings this age-old fantasy
into the reality.
Wingsuit flying
is the sport of flying through the air in a wingsuit, normally ending
with a parachute opening. It was first used by 19-year-old American Rex
G. Finney of Los Angeles, California in 1930 as an attempt to increase
horizontal movement and maneuverability.
