How we treat our daughters and wife ?

Click Here http://vinaymayurhoney.boosterblog.net to Rate This Blog

Bold thoughts – I have started to pen my thoughts. These thoughts are based on real life experience and thoughts that have been shared with me by many people and some my own.  I do not wish to hurt anybody with these thoughts and I am not going to argue with anyone about it. Others may think differently. I respect each persons view and no one is right or wrong, its only how we think differently.
So here we go…….
I know father’s love their daughters. I have seen father’s who do everything for their daughter’s, they would give their life for theirs daughters. They are most careful not to hurt their daughter’s. They take care of every little needs of their daughters. Finally when they have to get them married they are very careful and cautious about whom they would get married to! All this sounds so true and fantastic right? And we all agree to this!
But what happens to this Man who is such a loving father when he has to take care of a lady who also is/was a daughter of a father who loved her dearly. Why do fathers follow this double standards, do you think wives just break out of tree and fall on this earth and only your daughter is born with your flesh and blood? Fathers just think how you would feel if your daughter is treated the way you treat your wife, am sure your heart will bleed. So please treat your wife well, cause what goes around, come around and if you treat your wife badly, someone else will treat you daughter bad.
And if you have no daughter’s teach your son to respect every woman, since every woman has/had a father who loved her dearly.  Your son will treat his wife or girlfriend or any other women the way his dad treated his mother.
If you really love your children, show that to them by loving your wife. Children learn to love and respect looking at their parents.

Political Quotes by Chanakya

My collection of rare political quotes and writing of Indian Politician and economist Chanakya

A permanent relationship is dependent on particular purpose (or wealth).

Every relationship has one or the other motive behind it. Friendship or enemity are not purposeless.Oneness of motive is turned into friendship. While diversity of motive cause enemity. Royal relationships also depend uypon one or theother purpose. But such relatins ar mainly for the welfare of the state.

A friend, even if he be the enemy’s son , should be protected.

This sutura gives example about the purpose of relationship. A son of enemy who wants to uproot his own father, should be treated as friend and shold be protected. This may be called opportunism but is and should be necessary part of polity and statesmanship. Moreover, if a father is not aan upright man to have friendship with his sone can be a meritorious peson. So it is better to protecdt him.

Till the enemy’s weakness is known , he should be kept on friendly terms.

Everybody has same or the other weakness. This eis also a a general tendency to conceal theee weaknesses. For people may not harm for these, but they will surely ridicule or make fun of. Friendship, of course feigned should be retained with enemy till his weakness is known. Let him remain elated.

An enemy should be struck at his weak point.

Once the weak point of enemy is known, he should be reined by striking on that. Chanakya is offering here a fool proof method of devastation of enemy. T here is not place of showing mercy on him.

One’s weakness should not ever be revealed.

Everynbody tries not to reveal his weaknesses, so that he may not be ridiculed. Specially before the enemy. One’s weakpoits shold not be revealed. Becaues ohe canstrike on those to ruin us. So one shold remain strong before the enemy.

Enemies strike at weak points.

It is narual for enemy to attack on the weaker side of the adversary.

Even a captured enemy is not to be trusted.

A ruler wishing to win shold not trust a cpterued enemy even if he may be extending had to be friend. Because deep rooted enemity, however, concealed, will ruerely come to light.

wrongful doings of One's people should be stopped.

Svanaja includes in itself the whole subject, officials and ministers. If there is something wrong in the conduct of these people, it would be damaging the state. An administrator should strictly deal with it.

The disgrace of one’s people brings sorrow to the Nobel minded.

The demerits of our own people bringh infamiy. Their disgrace is our own disgrace. That is why infamy os such people relly hurts . It is desifrable that the ruler or the administrator may work in a way that such disgraceful conduct may not occur.

Defect in one’s limb ruins a man.

If one limb of the body is defected or inflicted with, disease, the whole feels tha pai. Some way if any department, minister or official of the state is faulty, the whole country is effected. An administrator should try hard to curb it.

Good behavior wins even an enemy.

If people of one’’s own side have good conduct, it adds power to oneself. The misconduct on the contrary render one powerless. The enemy taks advantage of it. A skilled statesman never allows enemy to win over.

The low minded are fond of deception the nature of low-minded people never changes.

No amount of advice change his attitude. He does not listed to good advice. Rather he gets angry.

A low-minded person should not be given good advice.

Nikrti means deceptive behavior, the nature of a low minded person is fraudulent. They always like to ridicule god person. Breach of trust is natural for a wicked. That is why this Chanakya quote enjoys indirectly to save oneself from them.

They (low-minded) ones should never be trusted.

Low minded people are fraudulent, wicked and chaeat. They shouldnot be trusted. To h ave faith in low minded ones is mistake in policy and useless because they are not trustworthy. An administrator should not invited calamity by trusting the low minded ones.

Evil person causes harm even if treated will.

How well u treat the wicked people, they do nto give up their wickedness. They derive pleasure in hurting others. A serpent made to drink milk, it ejects poison only.

The forest fire burns even tree like sandalwood.

The fire of the forest burns trees to ashes. Even expensive sandalwood tree which is endowed with qualities of cooling and fragrance, cannot escape from burning. In the same way wicked cause harm to their benefactors also.

Fire, even if put on head, burns only.

Wicked ones are like fire. Even if pu on hea, they burn only. They do not leave unhurt even their well – wishers and benefactors.

No one should ever be disrespected.

This sutra enjoins a rule of morality. It says nobody should be disrespected. A man can impress evdrybnody by his virtues. Disrespecting others means downfall of our own virtues. A person who disrespects others, in a way  disrespect himself. A virtuous man does not disrespect his friend or vevn his enemy. Disrespect to enemy can investigate him toreact. The best thing is to destroy him completely. For a ruler this is very important.

One who is to be pardoned should not be harassed.

To pardon unworthy and to not pardon the worthy shows thoughtlessness. To pardon the worthy shows thoughtlessness. To pardon is humanitarian quality. But as far as the royal duty is concerned the ruler has to exert his judiciary powers in deciding who is to be punished and who is to be pardoned chanakya relates that a criminal insignificant offence should always be forgiveness.

Considersing the forebearance of a person, Do not harass him.

A tolerant person should not be harrased. The subject or the ruled ones generally is loyal to the ruler. The people tak to revolt when they are helpless. The duty of the ruler is that his humble people mey not tak to revolt being suppressed by his bad polity. Considering the forbearance of the subject, do not ill behave with them so that they may feel oppressed.

The foolish wish to speak out what was spoken in secret by the master.

Chankaya is referring there to the probibition of entry of the untrustworthy in the counsel-room. Disloyal persons foolishly speak out the secrets of the counsel not knowing the harmful effects of the same. Disclosing the secrets of the counsel mars the welfare of the country.

Love is indicated by deeds (and not by words)

Love or affection towards an individual or nation, is indicated by good action snot merely be words.  The adoration towards nation is expressed by works of welfare equally done by the ruler and theruled.  The ruler himself must be engatged, in welfare of th country and also should select officials examining their involvement with the public god. Self-centered people greedy of the power should be kept away

Fate being unfavorable( or without god’s grace, even an easy task becomes difficult to accomplish)

Easiest tasks become difficult to accomplish if the destiny is unfavorable. But chanakya does not consider any task impossible. Extra handwork and diligence make possible a difficult task even if fate may be unfavorable for a while.

( before starting a task) a wise man should think of ( the interest of) place and time.Indian Political Pundit Chanakya stresses again and again that wise man should examine place and time before starting a new task.

Prosperity last long for one who acts after proper consideration.

A person or a ruler who executes his plans (of public welfare) after due consideration, the prosperity stands with him for a longer period.

All types of riches should be amassed by all means.

For the protection of state and welfare of the people, a ruler shold collect all types of wealth. By suing devices of sama, dama , danda, bheda , he shold increase income of the state, strong administration helps in collecting different type of taxes fro exchequer.

prosperity forsakes even a Licky one, if he acts without foresight.

A man or a ruler should always take up a task after thoroughly considering its consequences. Otherwise fate also cannot protect his wealth.

Examination ( of a thing) should be done with reference to what is know and wha is to be inferred.
By one’s own experience( or knowledge) and by one’s logical power, the consequence of a particular task, should be examined. By doing this there remains no chance of failure.

Knower of the means makes impossible tasks also possible.

The ruler should employ person in tasks according to their abilities because Knowers ( or the means ) and efficient employees make impossible tasks also possible.

Task performed by an unintelligent person should not be rated high.

Sometimes coincidentally an unintelligent person can accomplish a task but that does not mean that he is a knower of means and device or is experienced. A ruler should be careful enough to designate other tasks to such persons.

Chankya Quotes about Treaties, Enemy and Refuge in Politics

Click Here http://vinaymayurhoney.boosterblog.net to Rate This Blog

If there are more than one enemy, a treaty should be formed with one only. Treaty with all the
enemies may be destructive for the welfare of the state.

one’s security should be guarded from the anger of enemy.

A state should be protected from internal and external enemies because both of them weaken the kingdom by arson and violence Etc.

The weak one should seek refuge in the strong.
A ruler deficient in military power, fortification and treasury should take refuge in one endowed with these. Then only he can be strong enough.

Refuge in the weak results in sorrow.
Alliance with weak causes loss. What is the use of forming relations with a weak ruler who cannot handle his own problems?

A ruler should be approached like fire (lest he may not cause harm).
Just as one is careful while warming oneself with fire (so that it may not burn) in the same way one must be cautious while taking refuge in a ruler. One’s peace and one’s freedom are to be properly secured.

One should not act against the ruler.
To commit treason is prohibited. To act against the state or the ruler is an offense. Also the laws and institutions of the state are not to be transgressed.

One should not wear provocative clothes.
The dress expresses the personality of a person.one must wear clothes according to the occasion accepted by norms of civil society . Excessive ostentation should be avoided

One should not imitate the ways of king (or of gods) The intoxication of wealth ( or power) is dreadful.
One should carefully avoid it. A common person should not follow the doings of a king nor he shold use the insignia of royalty in intoxication of wealth. One should n now way compete with royalty.

Cause a rift between two countries/Person who are jealous ( of oneself) .
A clever politician should sow dissensions in tow rivals. Who are jealous of him. Their aspirations thus should be curbed.

Politician or Ruler addicted to vices cannot accomplish tasks.
One addicted to vices cannot successfully finish a tasks. His time and energy is exhausted in such vices. Most of the vices originate from desire of sensual enjoyments and anger. Hunting, gambling drinking are vices born out of sensual desire while every, fault finding originate from anger. All these vices tend to low self-confidence together with the loss of time and energy. Consequently, the plans and tasks (of the state) remain unaccomplished.

Chanakya Quotes

The subjects being prosperous , leaderless kingdom can be governed.
In the absence of the king , the people because of their prosperity , make alternate arrangements and the state continues to run. On the other hand , poor and indigent people will fight with each other and there will be anarchy all around.

People's Fury is above all the furies
The foremost duty of the ruler is to keep his people , happy and contented. The people are his biggest asset as well as the source of peril. If they are Unhappy and dissatisfied , they will revolt against him and overthrow him.

To be without a king is better than having an arrogant king.
The people expect soscour and sympathy from the ruler. But then , instead , they see the insolence and ostentation life style of the ruler who displays unconcer for their welfare they become unhappy. The people would manage the affairs of the state much better if such a ruler were not there.

After equipping oneself fully , one should seek an Ally.
The ruler should have Discrimination and the wisdom of identifying and choosing trustworthy and suitable persons of ability to assist him. This is possible only when he himself is an able person.

It is not possible to take decision without an adviser
An able ruler will choose his assistants wisely. These assistants are specialists in their own fields. The ruler before taking any decision , must consult his assistants so as to reach a correct and proper decision.

Single Does not move.
The state has two wheels . One is the ruler and the other is his ministers or assistants . As a chariot
cannot be steered by one wheel, so the king alone cannot govern the state. In other words , the ruler should not be autocratic but his decisions should be democratic , broad fasted and consensual and taken after due consultation with ministers.

The true aide serves alike in prosperity and adversity.
Loyalty is the first quality of a good minister. He should not be an opportunist like the rats who leave a sinking ship. The ruler while choosing his assistants should look for trustworthiness and loyalty. A loyal minister will be with the ruler always in sunshine and rain.

A self- Respecting King should appoint as counselor one who is inferior to him and one who respects him.( the king)
The ruler should be , at the same time , a supporter and a critic of his own proposed decision. Before reaching a solution , he should seriously consider both the pros and cons of a situation as well as the possible criticism that his opponents and critics may level at him

An impertinent person , However lovable , should not be taken into the counsel
The ruler should exclude an impolite and rude person from discussion of official matter regardless of love he may have for the latter. Discussion and consultation on official matters should be confined to persons of discretion, maturity and good behavior. A childish immature , imprudent and rude person has no place there. The ruler may love him but that is his personal choice which should not be mixed with governance.

One who is learned and free from deceit should be made a minister
The ruler should appoint only those persons as his ministers who are learned and specialized in their fields and who are tried and tested. There should be such persons as cannot only render correct and specialized advice to the king but whose honesty and integrity is beyond question

All the actions and plans begin with counsel.
For execution of any piece of work , methodical planing is very essential. Well planned is half done. A good plan can be prepared only after extensive consultations.

Accomplishment of the task depends on guarding the secret of the counsel.
Whatever consultations take place between the king and his ministers, They should be kept secret. This secrecy will prevent any leak to the enemy who , if he has access to the plans , will thwart the plans . Perfect secrecy , Therefore should be maintained.

Chanakya quotes about Importance of Money, Wealth and Hardwork

Click Here http://vinaymayurhoney.boosterblog.net to Rate This Blog

When There is wealth a little effort accomplishes the task.

If the treasury is full of wealth, the plans for social benefit can be executed easily. Mere handwork does not bear fruit or we can say a person without means is unable to accomplish his tasks. Efforts and wealth both are needed for attaining objects of life.

A task in which a suitable device is used is not difficult to achieve.

However, difficult may be the tasks, proper effort endowed with suitable device can always accomplish it. A ruler should be use seven devices (like Sama, Dama Danda Bheda, Upeksha and indrajal) to accomplish a tasks as the case may be. In personality also one has to first ascertain about the means of accomplishment and then start doing it.

Without an expedient , a task even if attempted, fails.

If one attempts a task without ascertaining the proper expedient, one may fail. Proper contrivance is necessary to succeed in venture.

Expedient is the aid to those who seek success in undertakings.

For success in undertakings, contrivance is very important. Also the pros and cons of the same should be well ascertained. Thus expedient is the only if for those who strive for success in their tasks.

A task attains its objective through human effort.

When a person determines to perform a task, it becomes his objective. Then he puts best of efforts to accomplish it. While performing, a truly active person does not care for its fruit (failure or success), He goes on doing hard-work. It is an accepted truth that hard work always pay.

Fortune follows human-effort.

Luck follows human effort. One just sitting for things to happen does not obtain anything. It is only the laborious and diligent who gets success. Man’s efforts should be related to present only He should not depend upon past or destiny

One who is not calm and collected cannot earn one’s livelihood (or accomplish one’s tasks).

One dependent upon destiny hardly gets means to lead life. A lazy and unbalanced person’s life becomes futile.

WHY WE VISIT TEMPLES ? (SCIENTIFIC REASON)

Click Here http://vinaymayurhoney.boosterblog.net to Rate This Blog

(I got this information in a chain mail..so thought of sharing with others)

There are thousands of temples all over India in different size, shape and locations but not all of them are considered to be built the Vedic way. Generally, a temple should be located at a place where earth's magnetic wave path passes through densely. It can be in the outskirts of a town/village or city, or in middle of the dwelling place, or on a hilltop. ...The essence of visiting a temple is discussed here.

Now, these temples are located strategically at a place where the positive energy is abundantly available from the magnetic and electric wave distributions of north/south pole thrust. The main idol is placed in the core center of the temple, known as "*Garbhagriha*" or *Moolasthanam*. In fact, the temple structure is built after the idol has been placed. This *Moolasthanam* is where earth’s magnetic waves are found to be maximum. We know that there are some copper plates, inscribed with Vedic scripts, buried beneath the Main Idol. What are they really? No, they are not God’s / priests’ flash cards when they forget the *shlokas*. The copper plate absorbs earth’s magnetic waves and radiates it to the surroundings. Thus a person regularly visiting a temple and walking clockwise around the Main Idol receives the beamed magnetic waves and his body absorbs it. This is a very slow process and a regular visit will let him absorb more of this positive energy. Scientifically, it is the positive energy that we all require to have a healthy life.

Further, the Sanctum is closed on three sides. This increases the effect of all energies. The lamp that is lit radiates heat energy and also provides light inside the sanctum to the priests or *poojaris* performing the pooja. The ringing of the bells and the chanting of prayers takes a worshipper into trance, thus not letting his mind waver. When done in groups, this helps people forget personal problems for a while and relieve their stress. The fragrance from the flowers, the burning of camphor give out the chemical energy further aiding in a different good aura. The effect of all these energies is supplemented by the positive energy from the idol, the copper plates and utensils in the *Moolasthan*am / *Garbagraham*. *Theertham*, the “holy” water used during the pooja to wash the idol is not plain water cleaning the dust off an idol. It is a concoction of Cardamom,*Karpura* (Benzoin), zaffron / saffron, *Tulsi* (Holy Basil), Clove, etc...Washing the idol is to charge the water with the magnetic radiations thus increasing its medicinal values. Three spoons of this holy water is distributed to devotees. Again, this water is mainly a source of magneto-therapy. Besides, the clove essence protects one from tooth decay, the saffron & *Tulsi* leafs protects one from common cold and cough, cardamom and *Pachha Karpuram* (benzoin), act as mouth fresheners. It is proved that *Theertham* is a very good blood purifier, as it is highly energized. Hence it is given as *prasadam* to the devotees. This way, one can claim to remain healthy by regularly visiting the Temples. This is why our elders used to suggest us to offer prayers at the temple so that you will be cured of many ailments. They were not always superstitious. Yes, in a few cases they did go overboard when due to ignorance they hoped many serious diseases could be cured at temples by deities. When people go to a temple for the *Deepaaraadhana*, and when the doors open up, the positive energy gushes out onto the persons who are there. The water that is sprinkled onto the assemblages passes on the energy to all. This also explains why men are not allowed to wear shirts at a few temples and women are requested to wear more ornaments during temple visits. It is through these jewels (metal) that positive energy is absorbed by the women. Also, it is a practice to leave newly purchased jewels at an idol’s feet and then wear them with the idol’s blessings. This act is now justified after reading this article. This act of “seeking divine blessings” before using any new article, like books or pens or automobiles may have stemmed from this through mere observation.

Energy lost in a day’s work is regained through a temple visit and one is refreshed slightly. The positive energy that is spread out in the entire temple and especially around where the main idol is placed, are simply absorbed by one's body and mind. Did you know, every Vaishnava(Vishnu devotees), “must” visit a Vishnu temple twice every day in their location. Our practices are NOT some hard and fast rules framed by 1 man and his followers or God’s words in somebody’s dreams. All the rituals, all the practices are, in reality, well researched, studied and scientifically backed thesis which form the ways of nature to lead a good healthy life.

The scientific and research part of the practices are well camouflaged as “elder’s instructions” or “granny’s teaching’s” which should be obeyed as a mark of respect so as to once again, avoid stress to the mediocre brains.
